Diving in Thailand > Krabi Province

Krabi Province and the Andaman Sea have a number of excellent dive sites. You can find dive resorts at almost every coastal destination in the region and on the islands that tourists visit. Dive resorts on Phuket will visit some of these sites too. Popular dive sites are Hin Bida (leopard sharks), Hin Daeng and Hin Muang (steep deep wall diving and spectacular marine life), King Cruiser wreck, Koh Haa (excellent coral dives between 15m and 25m) and Koh Bida - an island close to Phi Phi Lai.

Areas to dive in Krabi Province

Ao Nang

Ao Nang is a central point of the coastal province of Krabi, Thailand. The town consists chiefly of a main street, which is dominated by restaurants, pubs, shops and other commerce aimed at tourists.

Koh Lanta

Koh Lanta is an island district off the west coast of Thailand. Like many other destinations in Krabi Province it is known for its diving and long white beaches. Koh Lanta is in fact a district consisting of several islands. The two largest are Ko Lanta Noi and Ko Lanta Yai.

Koh Phi Phi

Koh Phi Phi is a small archipelago in Krabi Province. Koh Phi Phi Don is the largest and only populated island. Koh Phi Phi Lai is a smaller island to the south, where the movie "The Beach" was filmed.
