Malaysia is divided into two main areas. Peninsular Malaysia is linked to Thailand in the north and, via a causeway, to Singapore in the south. Further to the east, on the island of Borneo, are the two states of Sabah and Sarawak. Dive shops exist all over the country, and provide access to some truly spectacular diving.

Peninsular Malaysia

Peninsular Malaysia is located between Thailand and Singapore, and provides access to dive destinations on both the east and west coasts.

Borneo

Borneo, or East Malaysia as it is sometimes called, provides a wonderful mix of unspoiled rainforest, volcanic mountains, and some truly spectacular dive sites. Most outstanding dive destinations around Borneo are Sangalaki Island, Sipadan & Kakaban.
